Before the Hustle Begins

Before the lights flip on.

Before the orders roll in.

Before the rush of the day decides the pace.

There’s a moment in the early morning that feels sacred.

The roaster hums quietly, beans warming and cracking as their aroma fills the shop. It’s not loud. It’s not rushed. It’s steady. Intentional. This is the part no one sees—the preparation before the pressure.

Roasting beans before the hustle reminds me how much of life is shaped in the unseen moments. Long before the day gets busy, we’re already deciding how we’ll show up—grounded or frantic, present or reactive.

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

— Proverbs 16:3

These early hours matter.

The quiet work matters.

The faithfulness when no one’s watching matters.

So today, before the emails, the noise, the expectations—take a breath. Start slow. Set your heart before your schedule.

The hustle can wait. ☕️

What’s one small thing you can commit to God before the day speeds up?
